6:00 AM - Awake!
We both were awake around 4AM, me for about an hour, Jo for a little less, she woke back up at 5:15 - me at 5:55. We were both pretty excited about the trip.

The last minute rush to get everything done in time for our departure was complicated by the pool pump packing it in the day before. Instead of spending yesterday tying up a few business loose ends and packing, I was pulling motors and pumps out of the pool house and trying to find a pair that would work, or was at least salvageable.

The pool place wanted a mint, but on a tip from some work colleagues I found just what I needed for a bargain. By the time I had it installed it was now 4:30 or so. Our friend Richard who is pool mechanical genius generously offered to come and replace the pump while we were away - awesome! But it would be fine for the winter, so I told Richard we would redo the piping and replace the pump when we did the salt system in the Spring - shh Jo hasn't approved that one yet...

So we make ot the the airport with plenty of time.
