Rental Car and Driving in Paris

We walked for a few kms through the Charle De gaulle Aeroport until we finally found the right arrival area, and the rental car desk. Our car is a Citroen (pr. See Troy En) C4. It is actually a pretty big car compared to a lot of what is on the Paris roads.

There was a MILLION scooters of every size and type and every one of them was being driven by a suicidal/homicidal maniac!

The lines on the road, which are completely absent in most areas and are only a suggestion at best, have traffic wall to wall with mopeds zipping by "lane" splitting emitting the drone of a thousand pissed off leaf blowers.

After a plethora of wrong turns, insane roundabouts and realizing that most of the roads bore markings having no relation to what was shown on our map, we somehow managed to careen and bounce our way downtown Paris to the "hotel Splendid" near the Eiffel Tower.

We got parked, checked in, showered and had a good 2+ hour nap.
